Oklahoma football notebook: Sterling Shepard asked to do more

Entering this season, junior wide receiver Sterling Shepard was the most experienced offensive playmaker on Oklahoma’s football team.

Shepard played exceptionally well in the Sooners’ 52-7 win at Tulsa last weekend — catching eight passes for 177 yards and a touchdown — but co-offensive coordinator Jay Norvell said there are still things he needs to work on.

Norvell said that a couple weeks ago, Shepard was getting tired in practice because of all he was doing.
