With 100 days still to go before college football returns, we’re officially in the doldrums. Pretty soon, though, preview magazines will hit the shelves and a whole lot of so-called experts — including us — will start making predictions about what’s to come in 2017.
But while it’s fun to look forward, it’s good to remind ourselves about the people who built this program. Last weekend one of those guys, Quentin Griffin, finally earned his diploma 15 years after he first left OU. Who says you can’t come home? Griffin was a big part of OU’s last national championship — maybe his graduation can spur the Sooners to another one.
